Fact is: we enjoy having people around, without being around them all the time. At B&B Het Rooj, you will find the space and quiet to enjoy eachother or simply the green scenery. At only a 20 minutes drive from Leuven, 30 from Hasselt and 40 from Brussels, you will spend your nights (and hopefully some of your days) on a peaceful spot of Belgian countryside.
Your room in B&B Het Rooj offers a spectacular view on the fields and valleys of rural Hageland.
Both guestrooms are elegantly styled and have their own en-suite bathroom. Room ‘R’ seems slightly larger as it has an open bathroom with bath, whereas room ‘L’ features a comfortable rain-shower in its closed bathroom.

There is free wifi everywhere and plenty of space to use it: you can either surf on the sofa with library upstairs, in the communal lounge with minibar downstairs or at the terrace outside.

Continental breakfast and the use of all facilities (except sauna) are included in the room rate:

Fancy a sauna session? From January 2020, also our sauna will be available for you: two guests will enjoy the sauna and rain shower for 3 hours for 60 euro. Towels included.

A couple of days before your arrival we will get in touch to check your approximate time of arrival (as from 16h). Just to make sure we are at home to warmly welcome you! On the day of your departure, we kindly ask you to free your room by 11h.
B&B Het Rooj is centrally located in Belgium, with easy access to the E314 motorway.
The closest cities are Leuven (20 min), Aarschot (15 min), Hasselt and Mechelen (30 min) and Brussels (40 minutes).
In spite of its central location, the scenery is totally rural.
Yet there are plenty of dining facilities around: from take-away fantastic French (Belgian!) Fries, over easy-going bistro-food to gastronomy … anything goes. Mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org for an overview of our favourites. I am sure you will find something you like.
From the B&B’s garden you’re directly off onto some beautiful walks: you’ll either follow recommended routes or use some of the marked walks from the walking network ‘Wingevallei’. B&B Het Rooj is close to 134 and 142. Or why don’t you try a part of a ‘Long Distance Footpath’? Both the GR 512 and the Regional GR Hageland pass almost along our B&B.
The Hageland is well known for its hills and country lanes, and especially for its ‘hollow’ roads.
The biking network is a great way to discover the most beautiful routes and the area’s attractions such as the Horst Castle. You can plan your own route here or borrow one of our maps. B&B Het Rooj is close to points 99 and 65.
Mountain bikers will enjoy MTB tour ‘Pynnockroute‘.
We hold 4 bicycles at your disposal, and if you prefer to bring your own, please feel free to use our storage room.
The Winge Golf & Country Club is situated less than 10 minutes by car from B&B Het Rooj. This golf is one of Belgium’s most demanding golf courses and renowned for its beautiful greens and views.
